Why do we call it XO®?

Why do we call it XO®?

In English you can write XO, XOXO or XXX at the end of a text, an e-mail or a letter: X means kiss and O means hug. Because if you look at it from above, as if you were a bird, the X is a symbol of two people kissing each other, while the O is a symbol of two people putting their arms around each other in a hug - according to some people.

Others claim that it is the other way around, so XO means hugs because the X shows two people meeting and the O signals kisses because it looks like a mouth. Whether you choose one or the other explanation is up to you.

We really like that our product in itself sends a signal of kisses and hugs. So that was the one reason we chose to call it XO®.

The second reason is about a process that takes place in the body all the time: the creation of nitric oxide. It is a complex process that you can read more about elsewhere on this site The bark extract from French beach pine and the amino acids L-Arginin and L-Citrulline, which are three the ingredients in XO®, contribute to the creation of nitric oxide, which then causes the arteries to enlarge so the blood can roll faster.

It's a little too scientific to call the product something with nitric oxide. So we swapped the letters around a bit, took some of them out and landed on XO®. We believe it can give associations to the process that is going on.

So to put it briefly, XO® is a product that for 4-6 hours strengthens and maintains a process that is already taking place in your body, so you feel like kissing and hugging - not too bad, is it?
